Indian shooters make history with highest-ever medal tally in a single edition | Asian Games 2023

Shooting has always been one of India's biggest strenghts in a multi-nation event and Asian Games was no different.

As Kynan Chenai won individual bronze in trap shooting on Sunday in India's last shooting event at the 2023 Games, it was India's 22nd medal in the discipline.

7 Gold, 9 Silver and 6 Bronze - The achievent was second to none. Since the introduction of Shooting in 1954, it marked India's highest-ever medal tally in a single edition. Their previous was in Jakarta in 2018, when India finished with 9 medals.

It was a doble bonanza for Kynan as he had earlier won gold in the men's team trap event along with Zoravar Singh, and Prithviraj Tondaiman.
