Top-seeded Iga Swiatek won her second French Open title as she defeated teenage sensation Coco Gauff in the final at Roland Garros on Saturday. With the win, Polish tennis player Swiatek also equalled the record of Venus Williams' 35-match winning streak in all competitions.

Swiatek put on a dominant show in the first set as she broke Gauff's serve early and finally clinched the first set 6-1.

Gauff made a strong start in the second set and broke Swiatek's serve early but the Polish tennis player kept her cool. After losing the first two games in the second set, Swiatek lost only one game and won the final set 6-3.

18-year-old Gauff was in tears after losing the match as she failed to win her maiden Grand Slam title despite having a dominant show throughout the tournament.
