World number 1 side Australia were held by their pool A opponents Argentina 3-3 in what was a thrilling encounter in the Hockey World Cup 2023 at the Birsa Munda Stadium on Monday.

Blake Govers’ last-gasp goal helped Australia maintain top spot on goal difference. However, the draw opens up Pool A with three teams in contention for the knockout stages going into the last round of group games.
