French Open: Carlos Alcaraz beats Denis Shapovalov, enters fourth round

The World no. 1 and top seed Carlos Alcaraz made it to the fourth round after displaying a dominant performance against Canada's Denis Shapovalov at the French Open.

While the Spaniard dominated throughout, he struggled in the 2nd set when he was trailing at a 1-4. 

Alcaraz however, overpowered the 26th seed eventually to register a 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 win in an entertaining clash that lasted 2 hours, 12 minutes. 

The 20-year-old, who is one of the strongest contenders at the tournament will now face Italy's Loretto Masetti next.
