French Open 2023: Defending Champion Iga Swiatek to meet Karolina Muchova in finals

Defending Champion Iga Swiatek marched into the French Open final after a straight-set win over Brazil's Beatriz Haddad Maia. 

The World No. 1 from Poland who is eyeing to win her third French Open title defeated the 14th seed 6-2, 7-6(7) in the second final in Paris. She also became the youngest to reach 3 French Open finals. 

The 3-time Grand Slam winner will be facing unseeded Czech tennis player Karolina Muchova in the final on 10th June. If she wins, she will become the first woman to successfully defend her title since Justine Henin in 2007.

On the other hand, Muchova overpowered 2nd seed Aryna Sabalenka 7-6(5), 6-7(5), 7-5 to make it to her first Grand Slam final.
