CWG Trials: Wrestler Satender Malik assaults referee, gets life ban

The Wrestling Federation of India has imposed a life ban on services wrestler, Satender Malik, after he physically assaulted the match referee Jagbir singh during the Commonwealth Game Trials in the KD Jadhav hall at IG Stadium, New Delhi.

Reportedly, the air force wrestler after losing the 125kg final lost his calm and first abused the referee and then slapped him. Singh lost his balance and fell to the ground. 

The 57kg battle between Ravi Dahiya and Aman Gulia which was taking place in the same arena was also stopped for some time. WFI president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh who was present at the venue while the incident happened imposed a life ban on Satender Malik.
