18-year-old R Praggnanandhaa beat his friend and walking partner Arjun Erigaisi in sudden death to enter Chess World Cup semi-final in Baku, Azerbaijan on Thursday.

He became the first Indian since Viswanathan Anand in 2002 to enter the last four of the tournament, after winning the marathon quarterfinal 5-4.

'I don’t think I am going to touch chess for the next day-and-a-half. It is exhausting physically and mentally,' Praggnanandhaa said.
