Asian Games gold medallists Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy have opted to auction the former's signed jersey from the historic Asiad final for charity.

Shetty donned the shirt after the shuttler duo was declared the winner in the final.

According to French charity organisation Solibad, Badminton Without Borders, all proceeds from the November 26 auction will provide aid to set up a sports program in Tamil Nadu.

'It is situated in the village of Mannachanallur, in Trichy, centre of Tamil Nadu, one of India’s poorer areas where families from the Dalit caste, have no means to send their children to school. The money raised will be used to set up a global sport program for up to 900 children for a year. Sports will include badminton, but not only,' Solibad said in a press release.

The auction will begin from 2 PM IST and end at 8 PM. The winner will be the one with no higher bid for 5 minutes after deadline and will also receive a signed photograph by Satwik-Chirag along with the shirt.
