Asian Games 2023: Sift Kaur Samra wins gold, Ashi Chouksey clinches bronze in Women’s 50m rifle 3P final

Medal shower for India continued on day 4 of Asian Games 2023 as Sift Kaur Samra clinched gold while Ashi Chouksey won bronze in women’s 50m rifle 3 Position individual event on Wednesday.

Sift did it in style as she shattered the World Record with 469.6 points after a last shot of 10.2. The previous mark was 467. She won 3 medals in Asian Games 2023.

Sift became the first athlete to win an individual gold for India in Hanghzou. Interestingly, it was also the first time that India won 2 medals in a singles event at the Asian Games.

Earlier, Sift and Ashi won silver in the shooting team event with Manini Kaushik.
