Asian Games 2023 Medal Tally on Oct 5: India 4th in standings after day 12 at Hangzhou 2022

India brought home 5 medals on Day 12 of the Asian Games 2023, taking the total tally to 86 and maintained their 4th position on the table. 

Medals for India included 3 in squash, a gold and bronze in mixed doubles and a silver by Saurav Ghosal in men's singles. 

The pair of Dipika Pallikal and Harinder Pal Sandhu finished first while Anahat and Abhay settled for bronze. 

In wrestling, Antim Panghal won India's first freestyle medal by securing a bronze. 

Meanwhile, the archers had a field day with two golds. 

The Indian women's archery team of Jyothi Vennam, Aditi Swami and Parneet Kaur beat Chinese Taipei 230-228 and win the Women's Compound Team Final. 

Archery trio of Ojas Deotale, Abhishek Verma and Prathamesh Jawkar also won 235-230 against the formidable South Korea in the final.
