Asian Games 2023 Medal Tally: India cllimb to 6th after two gold medals on Day 2

The Asian Games 2023 saw another productive day for the Indian contingent as the Indian athletes finished the day by adding 6 more medals to the tally.

Indian shooters started the day strongly by clinching Gold as Rudrankksh Patil, Aishwary Tomar and Divyansh Panwar (WR) finished first in the Men's team 10m air rifle final.

Rowing followed suit by winning 2 bronze medals in the Men's quadruple sculls final and the Men's four final.

The shooters didn't stop there as Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar won bronze in the Men's 10m air rifle final.
Adarsh, Anish and Vijayveer also took home bronze in the Men's team 25m rapid fire pistol event.

Then started the event Indian cricket fans were waiting for as the women's cricket team clashed against Sri Lanka for the gold medal match.

The Women in Blue did deliver in the final and got India their first-ever gold in cricket in Asian Games history.

In Wushu, Roshibina Devi Naorem is now assured of a medal after going through to the semis in the Women's Sanda 60kg category.

India finished the day at 6th spot in the medals tally with China still on top with 69 medals

Shooting - Men's 10m air rifle team event - GOLD for Rudrankksh Patil, Aishwary Tomar, Divyansh Panwar (WR)

Rowing - Men's four final - BRONZE for Jaswinder Singh, Bheem Singh, Punit Kumar and Ashish

Rowing - Men's quadruple sculls final - BRONZE for Satnam Singh, Parminder Singh, Jakar Khan and Sukhmeet Singh

Shooting - Men's 10m air rifle individual event - BRONZE for Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar

Shooting - Men's 25m rapid fire pistol team event - BRONZE for Adarsh Singh, Anish and Vijayveer Sidhu

Cricket - Women's event - GOLD for India

Wushu - Women's Sanda 60kg - Roshibina Devi Naorem confirms medal with semifinal berth
