Neha Thakur broke India's medal deadlock on day 3 of Asian Games 2023 as she clinched silver in Girl's Dinghy - ILCA 4 category. India's first medal in sailing took the medal tally to 12.

The 17-year-old ended with a net total of 27 points in 11 races. Thailand’s Noppassorn Khunboonjan won gold with 16 while Singapore’s Keira Marie Carlyle took bronze with 28 points.

Sports Authority of India tweeted to congratulate Neha and wrote that her consistent performance throughout the competition earned her a well-deserved place on the podium.
