While the Delhi Police-- after their preliminary investigations-- have concluded that Bharatiya Janta Party MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh can be tried and punished, the former Wrestling Federation of India chief has been constantly denying the sexual harassment allegations levelled against him by India's top 6 wrestlers.

Singh even misbehaved and slammed the door on a Times Now reporter who questioned him about his resignation. He told the reporter that he would speak in court and would not give 'any masala' to the media.

As per a source-based report in NDTV, Delhi Police has filed a 1000-page chargesheet against Singh after speaking to over 100 witnesses in the sexual harassment case. Singh has also been accused of sexually harassing a minor and has been booked under POCSO in one of the 2 FIRs. The Delhi Police, however, have requested for dropping the POCSO charges against him after the father of the minor changed his statement.

The report further quoted a police official saying, 'the evidence is enough against to try and punish the accused'.
