Lovlina Borgohain shed the horrors of the 2022 Commonwealth Games (CWG) by clinching her first-ever World Boxing Championships title in the 75-kg Category.

Tokyo Olympics Bronze medallist Borgohain defeated Australia's two-time CWG medallist Caitlin Parker 3-2 in New Delhi.

25-year-old Lovlina made full use of her long reach in the first round, claiming it 3-2.

However, despite the Australian pugilist's strong comeback in the second round, Borgohain kept her cool in the deciding round.

And finally registered her name in history books by winning India's 4th Gold at the 2023 World Boxing Championships in New Delhi.

Previously, Lovlina won Bronze medals in the 2018 and 2019 editions of the Women's World Boxing Championships.
