Virat Kohli has opened up on why he stepped down from Royal Challenger Bangalore's captaincy position after IPL 2021 season.

While speaking on The RCB Podcast, India's former captain explained that he wanted some space and wanted to manage his workload that's why he relinquished the captaincy.

Kohli further added, "I didn’t want to think about it and contemplate it for another year. That would’ve done nothing to me. Quality of life and cricket is something very important to me."
