In a historic feat, Virat Kohli became the first Indian to score 100 or more 50+ scores in the T20 format, during the IPL game against Punjab Kings in Bengaluru on March 25.

The 50-run mark also brought up the talismanic batter's fifty-first IPL half-century since his debut in 2008.

He achieved his 50 in just 31 balls in an innings defined by boundaries, including eight within the first 4 overs, the joint-most by an RCB batter.

His sublime knock of 77 off of 47 balls against Punjab also made him the current orange cap holder of IPL 2024.

During the game, a fan also breached security to hug Kohli for a few seconds before being whisked away.
