Virat Kohli was on Monday reprimanded for his heated exchange with the on-field umpires during RCB's IPL 2024 game against KKR at the Eden Gardens.
The former RCB skipper was fined 50 per cent of his match fees for violating the IPL code of conduct.
Scenes during the KKR vs RCB match on Sunday turned ugly when Virat Kohli lost his cool over a DRS decision and took out his frustration over the on-field umpires.
The incident happened during the first ball of the 2nd over in RCB's run chase when Harshit Rana bowled a full toss to Virat but since it was dipping slower ball, the former RCB skipper couldn't control his shot and edged it back to the bowler who completed an easy catch.
However, Virat quickly reviewed it as he thought it to be a waist-high no-ball. But the replay showed it to be a legal delivery as Kohli was out of his crease and the ball was well below his waist.
Virat though was left shocked by the decision and what followed was him furiously charging the on-field umpires and giving them a mouthful.
