Fans at the Narendra Modi Stadium were left disappointed on Sunday night as rain played spoilsport in IPL 2023 final between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans.
Spectators filled up the stadium but thunderstorms in Ahmedabad never let the toss happen as covers hardly came off.
The umpires waited to get in a curtailed match but that too wasn't possible. As a result, the play was called off on Sunday without a ball being bowled.
Thankfully, there's a reserve day and the IPL 2023 final will now start from scratch on Monday.
