Robin Uthappa has been facing KKR fans' wrath ever since he said that he would play for CSK if he had to return to the IPL.
His comment didn't go down well with Kolkata Knight Riders' supporters who questioned his loyalty as Uthappa had played just a couple of seasons for CSK.
'Loyalty and respect is a give and take my friend,' Robin replied to a fan on Twitter. This was followed by a day-long trolling by KKR fans.
But Uthappa finally gave a clarification on Wednesday, saying that his 1st 4 years in KKR when Gautam Gambhir led were completely different from his last 2 years and that had a huge impact on his performances.
'After Gauti was let go, everything changed and I felt alienated. However, my love for the fans of KKR was the same and will remain the same forever. I'm forever grateful for their support and I wanna clarify that!! This isn't about the fans of KKR. I'll forever love and respect them,' Uthappa added.
