IPL 2024 points table: PBKS go past MI after record run-chase, KKR's position unchanged

Punjab Kings went past Mumbai Indians after their record-run chase against Kolkata Knight Rider in match 42 of IPL 2024.

KKR on the other hand, remained at the 2nd spot of the points table despite 8 wicket loss against Punjab Kings at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Rajasthan Royals are running away with the top spot as they have a 4-point lead from the 2nd-placed KKR 

The Sunirsers Hyderabad are in the 3rd position despite a similar campaign so far like KKR but with a lower net run rate.

The Lucknow Super Giants leapfrogged the Chennai Super Kings to the 4th spot on the points table after a thrilling win over Chennai.

CSK on the other hand slipped to the 5th position and has now lost 2 consecutive games.

Rishabh Pant led-Delhi Capitals are gaining momentum and are in 6th position at the points table. DC is closely followed by Gujarat Titans as Shubman Gill-led side has won 4 out of 9 games and is in 7th spot.

Punjab Kings are at the 8th spot with just 3 wins from 9 outings whereas, Mumbai Indians are at the 9th spot with 3 wins from 8 games so far in the IPL 2024. 

There's no change for RCB on the points table except for their loss column. They continue to dwell at the bottom with just 1 win from 8 matches.
