Mumbai Indians will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru in match 25 of the 17th edition of the IPL 2024 on Thursday. This encounter promises to be a litmus test for both squads as each team gears up to go at the top half of the points table.

Against Delhi Capitals, MI amassed 235 runs as their at-home hitting finally came together. With Tim David and Romario Shepherd making brief cameos, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan were able to secure some much-needed runs at the bat.

With wickets from Gerald Coetzee and Jasprit Bumrah, the bowlers also performed well in the match. SKY is predicted to regain form in the upcoming game despite scoring a duck in his return game.

For RCB, their old story continues as they still heavily rely on Virat Kohli to give them consistent starts. The likes of Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell also have not hit form. Cameron Green seems to have lost his all-round ability since joining RCB as he has failed to score with the bat and also hasn't shown much discipline in his bowling.

RCB's bowling attack is also a major concern for the team as no bowler looks in form and the lack of quality spinner in the squad further is a big worrying factor. They have lost all their away games so far and they need a rejig to start winning.

Team News

Hardik Pandya will be looking forward to continuing with the winning combination from the previous game whereas Will Jacks is likely to replace Cameron Green and Mahipal Lamror is expected to return to playing XI in place of Saurav Chauhan.

Head-to-Head record

MI and RCB have faced each other 32 times in the tournament’s history with the Indians winning on eighteen occasions and the Challengers clinching thirteen victories. One game resulted in a tie.

Weather Report

The nighttime temperature will be about 27 degrees with overcast skies and high humidity. Dew will be crucial to the outcome of this match. Rain is not a threat.
