The Punjab Kings have named Australian all-rounder Matthew Short as the replacement for the injured Jonny Bairstow.
Bairstow, who was denied NOC by the England & Wales Cricket Board, has been out of action after a freak injury in September last year.
Short was the Player of the Tournament in the Big Bash League, having scored 458 runs at a strike rate of 144.47. He also took 11 wickets during the competition.
