Surya's knock of 83 with worthy contributions from Ishan Kishan and Nehal Wadhera took the Mumbai-based team into the top-4 after days of poor performances which relegated them to the bottom half of the points table.
As Mumbai rose to the top, they simultaneously intensified the play-off races as teams scramble to get more victories in the second-half of IPL 2023.
