After finishing 3rd on the points table in their debut season, the Lucknow Super Giants are heading into IPL 2023 with renewed determination of going the distance this time around.

The Super Giants retained their strength from last year while adding even more firepower in the December auction.

With Quinton de Kock & KL Rahul at the top of the order, LSG boasts of arguably the best opening pair in the IPL. The duo's 210-run record-shattering opening partnership against KKR last year still remains fresh in the minds of many.

Nicholas Pooran, who was bought for a whopping ₹16 CR, will bolster a superb line-up that possesses top all-rounders in Deepak Hooda, Marcus Stoinis & Krunal Pandya. The likes of Kyle Mayers, Daniel Sams, Romario Shepherd, Krishnappa Gowtham & Prerak Mankad add significant depth to their all-round department.

With Ayush Badoni, Karan Sharma & Manan Vohra also in the squad, they truly have put together a strong batting unit.

In the spin department, veteran Amit Mishra's expertise could have a significant impact while Ravi Bishnoi's mastery will be a tough test for batters.

Mohsin Khan's injury surely comes as a big blow but with Mark Wood, Avesh Khan & Jaydev Unadkat all available, LSG have got the experience of players who have won both international & domestic honours.

With the added support of their home fans in Lucknow, don't be surprised if the Super Giants continue right from where they left off last season.
