The record for the most number of ducks in a single IPL season now belongs to Jos Buttler.

The England limited-overs captain was trapped plumb in front by Kagiso Rabada is just the second over of the innings.

Before IPL 2023, the Rajasthan Royals batter had only registered 1 duck during his entire IPL career, but this season alone, he has been out for naught a record 5 times.

In fact, it was his third consecutive duck in the IPL. Prior to this, he had also registered ducks in the previous two matches against RCB & KKR.

A big reason why Rajasthan Royals have slacked off in the second half of the IPL is that Jos Buttler really hasn't been consistent enough like last year, where he averaged close to 58.

While Yashasvi Jaiswal became the first Indian player to complete 600 runs this season, his opening partner really hasn't come to the party in 2023.
