41-year-old Dhoni who has so far captained over 200 IPL games has dropped a hint that IPL 2023 could be his final appearance in the cash-rich league.

After CSK handed Sunrisers Hyderabad a 7-wicket defeat, Dhoni said, 'Definitely old, you can't really shy away from that, whatever said and done, it's the last phase of my career'

Fondly known as Thala, MSD who has always enjoyed immense love & support from the Chennai crowd further said, 'however long I play, it's very important to enjoy IPL'

'After two years, the fans have had the opportunity to come here and watch, feels good to be here. The crowd has given us a lot of love and affection', Dhoni added.

Dhoni also jokingly complained about not being given the best catch award for Aiden Markram's dismissal. 'Still they didn't give me the best catch award, I was in a such wrong position', Dhoni said.

He further explained, 'just because you wear gloves people think its very easy but I felt that was a fantastic catch. Not because of your ability but at times you are at the wrong places at the wrong time when you catch it'
