Adding fuel to his supposed feud with Virat Kohli, former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly posted an appreciation tweet for only Shubman Gill.
His tweet giving the other centurion, Virat Kohli, a miss, irked the latter’s fans, drawing their ire.
The former India captain wrote, ‘What talent this country produces .. shubman gill .. wow .. two stunning knocks in two halves .. IPL.. .. what standards in the tournament.’
Some called out Ganguly saying, ‘Kohli also scored two back to back 100s Dada. Just saying.’
While another accused the ex-India cricketer of dividing cricket by not mentioning Kohli, who ‘also played very fantastic’ cricket.
All seemed well between the two cricket greats when they met and shook hands after an IPL 2023 match between Virat’s RCB and Delhi Capitals, where Ganguly is Director of Cricket.
But perhaps, there is more than meets the eye.
