Ben Stokes might not be fit to bowl as of now but the English all-rounder will start IPL 2023 for CSK as a specialist batter.

Stokes hasn't been cleared to bowl in the first few games of the league as he is still recovering from a knee injury.

CSK's batting coach Michael Hussey confirmed the news but didn't give a date from which Stokes will be able to resume bowling.

The 31-year-old all-rounder had recently stated that he will fulfil his IPL commitment despite the Ashes series starting just days after the cash-rich league.
