Sam Curran who had a chart-busting IPL auction endured a sleepless night ahead of the event.

'I didn't sleep much last night, was a bit excited, also nervous about how the auction was going to go. But yeah, absolutely overwhelmed and incredibly humbled' Curran said on Star Sports show.

The 24-year-old who was awarded the T20 World Cup Player of the Tournament is back with Punjab Kings, with whom he made his debut in 2021. After an intense bidding war, Punjab acquired him for Rs 18.5 cr, the highest-ever bid in IPL history.

Curran who was breaking records in Kochi, was struggling to find the IPL auction stream as there was no broadcast on Television in the United Kingdom. However, he said someone shared the link and he then watched it with his family.
