"Finally a Tendulkar has an IPL wicket."
That's what Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar wrote on Twitter after his son took his maiden IPL wicket and helped Mumbai Indians seal a hat-trick of wins in IPL 2023.
Arjun Tendulkar, playing just his second IPL game, returned bowling figures of 1/18 from 2.5 overs. And speaking after the game, Arjun revealed the advice he received from his legendary father.
"We discuss tactics before the game and he (Sachin Tendulkar) tells me to back what I practice every game. I just focused on my release, bowling good lengths and lines up front. If it swings, it's a bonus, if it doesn't, so be it," said the 23-year-old Tendulkar.
