Delhi Capitals has been one of the most inconsistent sides in IPL 2022 and their skipper Rishabh Pant has also performed in patches. Pointing out the issues in DC skipper’s batting, former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri gave his suggestion which may help them in playoff qualification.

Talking to ESPNcricinfo, Shastri said that if Delhi has to make it to the last four, then Pant will have to bat in an explosive style like Andre Russell. Shastri said that if Pant gets the tempo in the beginning, then there is no need to change it. According to Shastri, there is no need for Pant to think who the bowler is and he should only look to strike. Shastri said that if Pant plays at number three, he can prove to be a match-winner for Delhi Capitals.

Pant has so far scored 281 runs at an average of 31 in 10 innings for Delhi Capitals. While his team has won only 5 out of 11 matches played so far this season, they now need to win all their remaining 3 league games to make it to the playoffs.
