Five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians would look to register their first win in IPL 2022 when they lock horns with arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Mumbai are on a verge of IPL 2022 elimination after losing their first six matches this season. Chennai, on the other hand, have only one win in their six matches.

MI vs CSK Playing XI prediction

Rohit Sharma has got a good start in the season but the Mumbai captain has failed to covert any of the starts into the big one which hurt Mumbai's prospect this season so far. 'Baby AB' Dewald Brevis has been the only positive for Mumbai after he showed his great power-hitting skills. The biggest buy of the season Ishan Kishan is the other major concern for MI given his inconsistent run. Mumbai brought Fabian Allen into their Playing XI in the previous match and the West Indian failed to make any impression. Daniel Sams or Tim David are likely to replace Fabian in Mumbai Playing XI.

MI Playing XI (probable): RohitSharma (c), Ishan Kishan (wk), Dewald Brevis, Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav, Kieron Pollard, Fabian Allen/Tim David/Daniel Sams, Jaydev Unadkat, Murugan Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, Tymal Mills

Chennai, on the other hand, have found the perfect combination in absence of their biggest buy Deepak Chahar. They were undone by Gujarat's resilient approach in the previous match after controlling the game for a majority of the time. Adam Milne or Dwaine Pretorius could replace Chris Jordan in CSK Playing XI after he went for a leather hunt in the previous match.

CSK Playing XI (probable): Robin Uthappa, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Moeen Ali, Ambati Rayudu, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja (c), MS Dhoni (wk), Dwayne Bravo, Chris Jordan/Adam Milne/ Dwaine Pretorius, Maheesh Theekshana, Mukesh Choudhary
