In a nail-biting match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals, Dinesh Karthik's unbeaten 44 off 23 balls helped RCB to win their second match in IPL 2022. At one point, RCB were 87/5 when Karthik came in to bat but his 67 run-partnership with Shahbaz Ahmed helped RCB to successfully chase Rajasthan's 170 run target.

At the post-match ceremony, Karthik said, "The way I have trained has been different. I was telling myself I am not done yet. I have a goal and I want to achieve something."

While speaking about the match, Karthik said that they needed 12 runs an over so he stayed calm and figured out what to do and who he could take on. Karthik and Shahbaz smashed 21 runs in Ravichandran Ashwin's last over.

Karthik has been in sensational form this season with 90 runs in 3 games while staying unbeaten in all the outings. The finisher's role for Karthik in RCB is suiting the veteran cricketer who has helped Bangalore win 2 games out of 3 so far.
