Delhi Capitals have survived to fight another day as they beat Rajasthan Royals by 8 wickets at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Wednesday night. With the win, Delhi's hopes of a playoffs spot remain alive and now they have to win the remaining two matches to be in contention for playoffs.

Chasing a modest target of 161-runs, Delhi lost their opener, KS Bharat, in the first over. Mitchell Marsh then joined David Warner in the middle and put up a 144-run stand for the second wicket. Earlier, R Ashwin steered Rajasthan's innings while batting at number 3 after Jos Buttler departed early. Ashwin went on to hit his first IPL fifty and stitched a 54-run stand with Devdutt Padikkal for the third wicket. After Ashwin's dismissal, Padikkal did the bulk of scoring as other batters including Samson failed to make any impression as Rajasthan scored a below par 160-6.
