Despite relinquishing RCB's captaincy, Virat Kohli feels that he can be a leader within the team.

In an interview with the RCB website, Kohli also said that he takes a lot of pride in contributing for the team.

"You can still be a leader within the team, drive the team forward towards success and winning trophies and titles, " Kohli added.

Kohli also said he is lucky enough to see Bangalore's transition under new captain Faf du Plessis.

"A lot of people see transitions happen when they are away from the system. I'm lucky enough to see it happen in front of my eyes, while I'm still part of the larger picture," the former RCB captain added.

33-year-old Kohli is one of the few cricketers who represented only one franchise in 15 editions of the Indian Premier League. The former RCB captain announced last year that he would play for RCB till the day he retires.
