In a big blow for the Rajasthan Royals, pacer Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of IPL 2023.

Krishna, who last played against Zimbabwe in an ODI in Harare in August 2022, has been undergoing rehabilitation for a stress fracture.

But now, the Royals have confirmed that Krishna will have to undergo surgery and the rehab that will follow will see him miss the entire 16th edition of the IPL.

"Prasidh has suffered a lumbar stress fracture and has been advised surgery which will mean he needs more time to recover and get back to competitive cricket," the Royals said in a statement.
