Defending champions Gujarat Titans have named Sri Lanka's limited-overs captain Dasun Shanaka as a replacement for the injured Kane Williamson.

Shanaka, who is currently in New Zealand for the T20I series against the Kiwis, will fly to India after the completion of the tour on April 8.

The Sri Lankan all-rounder has been rewarded for some top performances against the Indians in white-ball cricket, including a hundred in Guwahati earlier this year.

Shanaka replaces the injured Kane Williamson, who has gone back home and will undergo surgery on his injured knee.
