The Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday named Kedar Jadhav as a replacement for David Willey for rest of IPL 2023.
Jadhav, who last featured in an IPL game in 2021, was roped in by RCB for ₹1 crore. He was doing Marathi commentary for Jio Cinema before RCB came calling.
Willey, who played just 4 games for RCB so far this season, managed to pick up just 3 wickets.
Jadhav made his IPL debut in 2010 and has so far played 93 IPL games. He has represented RCB in 17 of those games.
The right-handed batter was out of action since 2021 before making a return to competitive cricket with 2 games in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in November 2022.
