Royal Challengers Bangalore grabbed another nail-biting win at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium as they beat Rajasthan Royals by 7 runs in IPL 2023 on Sunday.

Put to bat first, RCB got off to the worst start possible as Virat Kohli was sent back to the pavilion by Trent Boult on a golden duck on the first ball itself.

It was skipper Faf du Plessis (62) & Glenn Maxwell (77) who brought the momentum back to their innings.

However, quick-fire wickets by Rajasthan rattled the batting order which eventually restricted the Challengers to 189/9 in the end.

In reply, Rajasthan witnessed the same fate as RCB with opener Jos Buttler dismissed for a duck by Mohd Siraj in the very first over.

It was opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (47) and Devdutt Padikkal (52) who took control of the chase.

However, the duo departed within 14 overs with Rajasthan struggling at 108/3 in 13.4 overs.

Dhruv Jurel's 16-ball-34 did give RCB a scare late on, but Harshal Patel managed to defend 20 runs in the last over and finish his spell with 3 wickets on the night and gave RCB another morale-boosting victory at home.
