History was made in IPL 2023 Auction as Sam Curran became the most expensive player ever sold in the history of the IPL.

Punjab Kings broke the bank for the English all-rounder as he was sold for a whopping ₹18.50 crore.

Sam Curran, who had a base price of ₹2 crore, didn't register his name for the IPL mega auction last year to focus on the T20 World Cup 2022. Interestingly, the 24-year-old was judged as the man of the tournament in that event Down Under.
