Paris, Sep 25 (PTI) Indian golfer Diksha Dagar will be eager to rebound from last week’s disappointment as she competes in the prestigious Lacoste Ladies Open de France. Diksha, a two-time champion on the Ladies European Tour, is among four Indian golfers making their mark this week. Joining her are Pranavi Urs, Tvesa Malik, and the promising newcomer Avani Prashanth. Despite last week's setback, Diksha has demonstrated consistent performance, having not missed a cut in over five months until now. All four Indian competitors will tee off in the afternoon session.

Currently, Diksha stands as the highest-ranked Indian golfer on the Order of Merit at the 20th position. Avani Prashanth, ranked 47th, is also poised to secure her tour card. Pranavi Urs, who has been recovering from an injury, is currently placed at 83rd. Tvesa Malik has had a challenging season, finding herself further down the rankings, similar to Hitashee Bakshi, Vani Kapoor, and Sneha Singh, who have participated in fewer events.

Following the Ladies Open de France, the golfers will look forward to the Hero Women’s Indian Open, scheduled with a one-week intermission.

Meanwhile, Chiara Tamburlini returns to a familiar venue, aiming to defend her title as the reigning champion of the Lacoste Ladies Open de France. This year marks the 35th iteration of the tournament, featuring a field of 96 competitors, including 17 French players, from September 25 to 27.
