Ahmedabad, Oct 2 (PTI) - The opening day of the first Test between India and West Indies unfolded with India gaining the upper hand with a solid performance both with the ball and the bat. The Test match, taking place in Ahmedabad, saw the West Indies being bowled out for a total of 162 in their first innings.

West Indies started their innings with John Campbell making 8 runs before being caught by Dhruv Jurel off a delivery from Jasprit Bumrah.
