2 matches on October 28 and the wins changed the dynamics of the World Cup 2023 points table. While Pat Cummins led Australia defeated New Zealand by 5 runs, the Netherlands team crushed Bangla Tigers by 87 runs.

The top stayed same with Australia strengthening its place in the 4th spot. Australia's 4th win helped them reach 8 points in 6 matches, while their net run rate is +0.970.

The loss however did not affect New Zealand who remain in the 3rd spot with 8 points. Their net run rate is better than Australia who have same points +1.232.

In the second match of the day, Bangladesh were handed an embarrassing loss which has now ousted them from the race of semifinals.

The Bangla Tigers have only 2 points in 6 matches, while the Netherlands team has come to 8th position with 4 points after the win. Bangladesh slid to the 9th spot and England, the defending champions are now in the 10th place. 

In the points table, South Africa is at first place with 10 points, while Team India is also in second place with the same number of points.
