Even though Team India won it's last match against New Zealand, the Men in Blue are missing the all-round services of Hardik Pandya, who missed the previous clash due to an ankle injury.

Will Hardik Pandya play against England?

With India having won all of its 5 games so far in ODI World Cup 2023, it seems that Hardik will be rested for India's clash against England in Lucknow on Sunday.

'It is more of a precaution at this stage and nothing serious,' a BCCI official told CricketNext.

The 30-year-old didn’t travel with the side to Dharamsala as BCCI's medical team advised him to rest. According to reports, he is likely to join the team before the match vs Sri Lanka in Mumbai.

Hardik not playing forced Rohit Sharma to make two changes in the playing XI. While Mohammed Shami stood out with a 5-wicket-haul, Suryakumar Yadav was unlucky against New Zealand and was run out for just 2.
