Allegations of a rift between Babar Azam and Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Zaka Ashraf took an uglier turn on Sunday when reportedly the PCB chief leaked Babar's personal WhatsApp messages on national TV.

There were speculations that Babar may be sacked as Pakistan captain following his team's poor show in ODI World Cup 2023. A few reports also claimed that the skipper had tried to get in touch with the PCB to explain the scenario.

However, according to a claim made by former Pakistan cricketer Rashid Latif, Ashraf was allegedly ignoring Babar's attempts to get in touch with him.

In order to reveal the truth, the PCB chief allegedly leaked Babar's private WhatsApp chat with PCB’s Chief Operating Officer, Salman Naseer. In the chat, Babar allegedly wrote that he never tried calling Ashraf.

This conversation was broadcast live during a chat show on one of the news channels in Pakistan. It didn't go down well with the fans as they raised ethical concerns.
