Jalandhar, Aug 18 (PTI): In an exciting culmination of the pool stages in Division 'A' of the 15th Hockey India Junior Men National Championship, Odisha, Manipur, and Jharkhand emerged victorious against their respective opponents, advancing to the quarterfinals held here on Monday.

Madhya Pradesh, despite playing to a thrilling 3-3 draw against Tamil Nadu, secured their quarterfinal spot owing to a superior overall goal difference.

Alongside them, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Karnataka will also feature in the top eight, having successfully navigated the pool stages.

Odisha showcased their dominance with a resounding 10-0 victory over Andhra Pradesh, while Manipur claimed a 5-1 win against Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Hockey in Pool C. In Pool B action, Jharkhand emerged with a 5-3 triumph over Maharashtra.

The highly-anticipated quarterfinals are slated for Wednesday.
