'We are right for each other', Jurgen Klopp's contract with Liverpool extended until 2026

Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager will remain in office until 2026, the Premier League club confirmed. Klopp's contract was set to expire in 2024. He has agreed to prolong his stay at Anfield for 2 more years. 

The German manager joined the club in October 2015. Since taking the charge, Klopp has led the club to its first Premier League title in 2020 and the Champions League title in 2019. He has also won the Super Cup, Club World Cup, and the Carabao Cup.

After the extension of his contract, the 54-year-old said that he has had a healthy relationship with the players and the management adding that he was glad to stay back as a part of Liverpool. 'Relationship is a 2-way street and we are right for each other', he said. 

Along with him, his 2 assistant managers Pep Lijnders and Pete Kwarietz will also stay back.
