Riyad Mahrez, Julian Alvarez and Phil Foden scored first-half goals.
Mahrez turned out to be the man-of-the-match with a brace as he converted from the spot in the 85th minute to seal the win.
City, who rested Erling Haaland and Kevin de Bruyne, now visit Southampton away in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday.
