Kylian Mbappe scored a stunner in the stoppage time to help Paris Saint-Germain beat Real Madrid 1-0 at home in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 match on Tuesday night.

The high octane clash saw no goal scored in the first half as Real Madrid defended brilliantly.

After half-time, PSG got a golden opportunity to take a lead but Lionel Messi missed the penalty spot in the 62nd minute.

Despite the penalty miss, PSG looked better side of the day as they threatened Real's goalpost multiple times.

The Spanish club's goalkeeper denied Mbappe on two occasions before the French strike steered one home in the stoppage to give PSG 1-0 victory.

Real Madrid will now host PSG in the second leg of the last 16 on March 9.
