UEFA Champions League: Inter gains upper hand in Milan derby with 2-0 triumph

Inter Milan took control of their Champions League semi-final against city rivals AC Milan, winning the first leg on the Milan derby 2-0 at the San Siro.

With 80,000 present for one of the most-awaited clashes of the European season, Inter took the lead in just the 8th minute through a superb volley from Edin Dzeko.

3 minutes later, Henrikh Mkhitaryan doubled the lead, slotting a shot beyond Mike Maignan in goal.

AC Milan came close in the second half when Sandro Tonali struck the post but Inter managed to keep a clean sheet to take their 2-goal advantage to the second leg at the same venue next week.
